Driveways, Patios & Paving in Wexford, Wicklow & Dublin

A driveway is only as good as what's under it. We dig out properly, build the sub-base to depth, get the falls right so water goes where it should, and finish with paving that suits the house — Tobermore block, porcelain or natural sandstone.

Typically from €3,000, priced per square metre after a site visit

What's included

Everything in the price, nothing added later.

Full excavation

Dug out to the depth the ground and use actually require — not a skim over the old surface.

Sub-base and compaction

Graded hardcore laid and compacted in layers so the finished surface doesn't sink or rut.

Drainage and falls

Levels set to move surface water away from the house, with channel drains or soakaways where needed.

Tobermore, porcelain or sandstone

We'll show you samples and honest pros and cons for your budget and how much traffic it takes.

Edging and kerbs

Haunched edge restraints so the paving stays tight for the long haul.

Jointing and sealing

Kiln-dried sand or resin jointing, with optional sealing for stain resistance.

Common questions

Driveways & Paving — your questions answered.

How much does a driveway cost in Ireland?

Most driveways start around €3,000 and are priced per square metre. Block paving is usually the most cost-effective; porcelain and natural sandstone cost more per metre but give a higher-end finish.

How long does a new driveway take?

Typically 5 to 10 days from first dig to final sweep, depending on the size of the area, access for machinery and the weather.

Will the paving sink or move over time?

Not when the base is right. Sinking is almost always a foundation problem — too shallow a dig or poorly compacted hardcore — which is why we don't cut corners under the surface.

Can you lay paving over an existing driveway?

We generally don't recommend it. Levels end up wrong relative to the house and the old surface can move underneath. We'd rather dig out and do it once.
