What can a garage be converted into?
Most commonly a home office, a playroom, a gym, a utility room or an extra living room or bedroom. What's realistic depends on the size of the garage, ceiling height and where the door and windows can go — we'll tell you straight at the site visit.
Do I need planning permission to convert a garage?
Converting an attached garage for use within the same house is often exempt, but it depends on the property, previous extensions and whether the use changes. Check with your local authority before committing — we'll flag anything that looks like it needs permission.
How much does a garage conversion cost?
It depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the floor and walls, insulation, glazing and how much electrical or plumbing work is involved. We price per job after seeing it rather than quoting a headline figure.
Do you do the electrical and plumbing work?
We handle the building, insulation, boarding, joinery and painting ourselves and bring in qualified electricians and plumbers for their part, coordinated by us so you're only dealing with one point of contact.
